Before Research
The Internet is a network of computers that are connected through it. I think that the Internet allows people globally to connect with one another, which can be good or bad. Electronics are a huge part of our lives in this era, and the Internet is one of the reasons why. It''s convenient for people to use (in most cases), and it provides us with information and entertainment. I think that the Internet has a great impact on our society, and is increasingly important by every generation that comes.
After Research
So after checking dictionary.com for the definition of the Internet, I found that it said: "a vast computer network linking smaller computer networks worldwide". Basically, it means that the Internet is a big computer network that brings smaller networks around the world together. I guess I wasn't too far off on my first try! But then again, I did learn the definition of the Internet during last year's computer sciences course...
